Regimental flags are powerful symbols of history, pride, and honour. Every badge used on a flag must be accurate, well balanced, and made with great care. For this project, the client required a fully customised embroidered regimental badge designed specifically for ceremonial flag use. The badge needed to follow traditional standards while also presenting a strong and refined appearance.

The Requirement

The client contacted us to create a custom regimental badge that would be used on a ceremonial flag. The badge needed to reflect regimental identity clearly and professionally. A King’s Crown was required at the top of the badge, representing royal connection and tradition. The crown needed to be detailed, bold, and visually strong.

The client requested that the regimental name “THE ROYAL FUSILIERS NIMY COMPANY” be embroidered neatly in a circular form around the main design. The lettering had to be clear, evenly spaced, and easy to read when displayed on the flag.

At the centre of the badge, the traditional floral emblem was required to remain true to the regimental style. The colours needed to be rich and balanced, while the shape had to remain clean and well defined. The outer ring, lower details, and overall badge shape needed to suit flag placement and ceremonial use.

The client wanted the finished badge to look traditional, elegant, and durable, suitable for long-term display and regular ceremonial use.

The Solution

After reviewing the design requirements, our team carefully prepared the final artwork. Every detail was checked to ensure correct proportions and a balanced layout.

Once approved, production began using traditional hand embroidery techniques. The King’s Crown was embroidered using high-quality gold bullion to create a raised and premium look. Fine detailing was added to give the crown depth and clarity.

The circular text was embroidered with precision to ensure smooth curves and consistent spacing. The central floral emblem was created using layered embroidery to give texture and dimension, while keeping the colours strong and accurate.

The badge was mounted on a durable fabric backing to ensure it was suitable for flag use. Throughout the process, our team focused on clean stitching, strong structure, and a refined finish.

The Result

The final regimental badge met all the client’s expectations. The crown stood out clearly, the lettering was sharp and readable, and the central design looked rich and well balanced. The badge had a strong ceremonial presence and was perfectly suited for flag display.

The client was highly satisfied with the quality, accuracy, and professional finish of the badge. This project highlighted our expertise in producing custom hand-embroidered regimental badges that respect tradition while delivering excellent craftsmanship.
